Our Mission

MusicGNV believes that Gainesville’s rich musical storytelling tradition is an invaluable part of our cultural heritage. We strive to make Gainesville a better place for all musicians to tell their stories through curated shows, talent-fostering, trade apprenticeships and artist resources. We are artists, techs, promoters and fans working together to make Gainesville’s music scene a more welcoming, diverse and thriving place.

MusicGNV strives to create an equitable, thriving music scene in Gainesville, FL, and the north-central Florida area. Through active engagement with diverse, representative community stakeholders, we will develop and implement programs and processes that expand opportunities for local musicians and music-industry workers. We commit to diverse leadership as we grow and will seek to ensure that all opportunities made available to the community by MusicGNV are accessible to marginalized and under-served members of our community.
